A Cyberpilgrim's List of Web 2.0 Tools for Ministry

Tool: Wordle

4 minute YouTube Tutorial:

Educational Examples: Cut and paste the words of a famous document into a Wordle, such as the Constitution of the United States. Have students discuss the most frequently used words and why (those words will appear larger in the word cloud.) Here’s an example from the Wordle gallery.

Ministry ideas: Have members of the confirmation youth group or any ministerial team contribute a few words that describe an individual’s gifts (kind, smart, strong, peaceful, good friend, etc.). Put all the words into a Wordle. Print out a screen shot of the finished Wordle to present to that person.
